Lucio Correia dos Santos is a Brazilian international DJ and celebrity musician in the Overwatch world. His desire to bring people together with music and fight back against the oppressive corporation, Vishkar, which is exploiting his hometown, eventually led to him joining Overwatch. 

Lucio steals the Sonic Amplifier from Vishkar (which was designed by his father) and leads a revolution against them, leading to his celebrity status and allowing him to become a worldwide music sensation. 

Lucio’s gameplay style was inspired by the classical bard trope that is often found in role-playing games. His supportive abilities aren’t limited to healing, as he can also speed boost his teammates and quickly swap between healing and boosting. 

Lucio’s rollerblades are a unique element of his design which carries over into his gameplay, allowing him to ride walls and giving him high manoeuvrability.

Along with hockey, football is one of Lucio’s favourite sports to play in during his downtime from saving the world and performing in concerts. The Seleção skin puts Lucio in a football kit while dressing him in the colours of his home country, Brazil.
